    Ambassador of the Republic of Poland Arkady Rzegocki officially awarded diplomas recognizing two new foreign members of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences.

     

    During a ceremony held on 6 July 2017, diplomas were awarded to Professor Magdalena Żernicka-Goetz and Professor Stephen Harrison recognizing them as foreign members of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences.

     

    Professor Magdalena Żernicka-Goetz is the director of a research group studying mammalian embryos and stem cells (Mammalian Embryo and Stem Cell Group: http://zernickagoetzlab.pdn.cam.ac.uk/index.html) at the University of Cambridge. Professor Stephen Harrison is a leading specialist in the fields of Latin and broader Classical philology, working with Corpus Christi College at the University of Oxford.

     

    The title of Foreign Member of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences is bestowed in recognition of academic achievement and contribution to strengthening Poland’s academic ties with other countries.
